Las Iguanas Norwich Opening

Friday, 14 November 2014

Las Iguanas is a Latin American restaurant with locations up and down the UK and it has finally arrived in Norwich! I was lucky enough to be invited to the launch and I have to say I was not disappointed. An amazing array of cocktails which are all created in front of your eyes as you sit at the long bar in the heart of the restaurant. I had a raspberry daiquiri, which was light, juicy and refreshing (I could of easily had a few more).
The ambience of the place is amazing with low lighting and Latin music gives it a real relaxed feel.
The menu is a fantastic array of tapas, meats, burgers, fajitas and salad for if you’re feeling good. We had 5 tapas dishes to share to start which were huge and I then had the honey chicken and Tom had the chicken fajitas both of which where good sized portions and I would defiantly recommend.
I must add they have an amazing range of vegetarian options and the staff and manager are so friendly I am sure they can meet any of your dietary requirements in the most delicious way possible.
Check out the Menu to get your mouth watering: http://www.iguanas.co.uk/menus/las-iguanas-norwich-food-menu.pdf
Situated just outside the cinema this is the perfect spot for a pre movie dinner and post movie cocktails with tapas.
I have to say the cocktails are the best in Norwich and we will be returning very soon!

To book a table online: http://www.iguanas.co.uk/ and click the Norwich restaurant.

I hope you enjoy the Las Iguanas experience as much as I did! Let me know in the comments below your favourite Iguana dishes and cocktails & I look forward to trying you recommendations!

My Best Brand Find A/W 14 : Neal's Yard Remedies

Thursday, 13 November 2014

Neal's Yard Remedies held a gorgeous blogger event recently at their Norwich store, it celebrated the launch of their Frankincense range but it was chance to get to grips with all their fantastic organic products.
The shop was filled with the most amazing fragrant candles which made a really sensual experience of exploring the products. Created from organic ingredients which they source themselves and the smell was amazing. Despite their organic label ( which I sometimes think of as they have to be used up pretty quickly ) they still have a long shelf life so these products really do last.
As I've got older I have definitely got more intrigued as to what the products I use have in them and I find myself checking label after label. It's so good to have found a brand where none of that checking is necessary and you can really enjoy the products worry free!
The event had two therapist where we had holistic back, neck and shoulder massages and a reflexology treatment all using the NYR products. The scents are all really calming and relaxing which is something I personally love in a candle or bath oil to relax with at the end of a stressful day.
I am currently testing out their products to give you a full in depth review of what I think and how they work for me, so this will be published at a later date!

NYR is my best brand find this A/W and I have more posts to go up on here which are more in depth about my favourite products and a post about an element of NYR you may not know about! Keep your eyes peeled on here for those and on my twitter @hollybobbinblog for when I publish those!

All their products are available on their website : http://www.nealsyardremedies.com

Take a Look and leave your favourites in the comments below or any you think I should try!

Firework Fizz and Flames

Wednesday, 5 November 2014

As I'm not attending any fireworks until the weekend I thought I would celebrate the 5th November with a fizzy , flamey firework inspired treat, in the form of the Zoella beauty products. I am sure you bloggers are all very familiar with her products as they have been out for a little while. If you are not, Zoe is a british beauty and lifestyle blogger. Who has risen to fame through her videos and blog and now has produced this amazing range of beauty products available in Superdrug UK.
The Fizz Bar bath ballistic has to be my favourite Zoella product. I literally cannot stop smelling the fizz bar its so fresh, clean smelling almost like fresh linen ( I can totally see why it's plastered in ' do not eat' stickers) and the size is great because you can keep using it for a good few days. The packaging is super cute with Zoe's trade mark handwritten font and pretty lace detailing. For £5 it's a great beauty buy!
"Let's Glow" candle is the perfect accompaniment for my bath with the fizz bar . I love candles anyway I find them really relaxing especially in the winter. However, I have to say I am slightly disappointed with the size ( sorry Zoe). The fizz bar is super generous and for the £5 you feel you are getting a real bargain as it last and lasts. The candle on the other hand is pretty small and not so much for your money. But none the less it smells amazing and adds ambience to the perfect pamper night in.

It's Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas

Monday, 3 November 2014

Ribbon
I don't only use ribbon to wrap gifts but as a decoration it's self. I tend to tie festive coloured ribbons on my tree and garlands . A really good alternative to buying lots of expensive decorations!
I found these ribbons at TIGER store in Norwich , however they have stores located all over the UK and internationally.
The gingham ribbon was £1 and you get 5 meters.
The red and green satin ribbon are also £1 but you get 15 meters.
A real bargin ! Unfortunately you can't buy there products online but you can browse a selection on their website.

Alphabet Stamps
I got these to create name tags for everyones presents but you could use these stamps at any time of the year. I also like the idea of using them to create decorative place names for the Christmas table.
These are £3 also from TIGER store.

Baubles
I find it so hard to find tasteful baubles that don't cost and arm and a leg. I am not a fan of the crazy metallic as they can look cheap despite the expensive price tag. I was so pleased when I found these red, white and silver baubles in Wilkinson for only £2.50. They have a lovely matte finish and with 18 in a pack they are a real steal.

Crackers
I got these as decoration crackers for my tree and garlands. They are called 'mini crackers' however they are big enough to dress the table if you wish. I love the simple grey stripe and red border which match my baubles and ribbon I have bought. They have sticky labels attached to write names on if you use them at the table which is a lovely added touch.
You get 6 in a pack and they are £4 from Wilkinson.

Glade Scented Candles
I love scented candles and the spiced ones are a great scent for the festive season. I always look out for them on offer in the run up to christmas . I found these glade ones in Wilkinson which are currently on an offer 'better than 1/2 price' and are only £1.75 each . They last for 30 hours each and are really really fragrant. I am already looking forward to lighting them!

Christmas Cards
I am a sucker for stationary and when it comes to cards I love to choose them. I have searched the high street for my christmas cards this year and finally found these beautiful ones in Marks and Spencer. I love the illustration style and the use of red and white. They were £5 for 24 cards which is not bad at all. If you have a really large family they are on a 3 for 2 offer with other card designs.

I love christmas and I'm really getting in the spirit of it this year as it's the first year I've had my own house to decorate. I know it is only November but I am slowly collecting all my christmas bits so that I don't feel completely spent out come December.
I thought I'd give you a heads up with a few good buys I have found around the shops.

Natural Collection A/W Look*

I was recently sent these amazing products my natural collection. I love there make-up as it is so affordable and means you can easily and affordably keep up to date with on trend make up looks.
These pieces they sent are perfect tones and shade for autumn winter.

My Top Picks from Natural Collection

Blushed Blusher
I use this blusher a lot even before they sent it to me . It's really soft and a good pink for fair - mid skin tones. It brushes on really well and lasts all day with litre re-application. I love to use a little tinted moisturiser with concealer and then just wear this to define my cheeks. Giving a  no make-up look.

Lash Length Mascara
This was my best find out of all the products I was sent! This mascara is as good as leading high end brands. It really lengthens and exaggerates the lashes without any clumps . Love it !

Cover-up Stick
Your go to product when you've got one of those super stubborn spots. It provides full coverage to any blemishes or spots making them blend into the skin.

Moisture Shine Lipstick
I am forever trying to cover up chapped lips over the winter months and it always seems the more lipstick I apply the worse they get. However, no more ! This lipstick moisturises too and I have pretty much lived in it since I was sent it. My lips look full and luscious with not a crack in sight. I have th colour 'cherry red' which is perfect to take you through the festive party season. But I am going back to get a nude one as well as I love them so much ! Great colour coverage and does your lips good too...you can't go wrong !

All are available online on the links I have provided but if you live in the U.K and visit your local Boots store you will be able to pick them up in there !

Belated Birthday Back Home

I recently went home to celebrate my bloated birthday with my family. We had a lovely weekend full of cake, food and presents. I didn't take many photos as I was too busy having a good time.
So above is a snapshot of my weekend.
We ate at a lovely pub in Knossington, Rutland called The Fox and Hounds which does amazing food and walked around the Rutland countryside. It was a refreshing break from my university studies. I got completely spoilt with loads of presents but I particularly love the cook books I got as I am really getting into my cooking.

Happy 22nd Birthday to me, I wonder where I will be at 23?
