Jarrold Blogger Event

Friday, 6 June 2014

I was recently lucky enough to be invited to the Jarrolds Blogger Event held in their store in Norwich. For those of you unfamiliar with Jarrolds it's a huge department store in Norwich housing loads of exciting brands from beauty and fashion to furniture and children's toys.
The event was introducing us to fashion and beauty at Jarrolds and an insight into the upcoming trends and what is on trend now.
We got to talk to their beauty and fashion experts who gave us loads of tips and shared their knowledge as well as showing us all the amazing products.

This Katya Wildman dress was amazing and I was particularly drawn to the print as it was a Libertys one . I swear I am a magpie to all their fabrics.
Lucy who is the stylist for Jarrolds said that this was a particular favourite with Nigella Lawson.

The trends were very tailored and had fantastic bright neons accentuating line and structure of the clothing. Lucy had picked out a whole host of labels that they stock from Vero Moda to BOSS Orange and they were mainly all really affordable. She'd also paired some fantastic pieces of statement jewellery to wear with the pieces.

I fell in love with all the L K Bennett shoes that they had in store. I didn't know that the leather is so soft inside that they mould to your foot and are amazingly comfortable. Is this a valid enough excuse to invest in some ? I think so .
I love an oversized handbag not only does it make you appear skinnier , you can fit everything and everyone in it . And for someone who takes out everything but the kitchen sink this LuLu Guiness one is perfect. It is also bang on trend with the cut out lips. Perfect for summer.

Jarrolds have a gorgeous NailSpa located in the beauty hall . The perfect place to pop in on a lunch break or you can book in with the girls at the weekend. They have the full OPI range available and with that huge window you can relax , people watch and enjoy the buzz of the beauty hall whilst getting pampered.
For those of you who aren't a fan of the hustle and bustle you can be pampered in a completely soundproof tranquil environment of 'The Retreat' at Jarrolds. Located in the basement it's a calm , relaxing and soothing environment offering a whole host of treatments. From tanning treatments to indian head massage you are bound to fall in love with what's on offer.

To view the full range of treatments they offer visit http://www.jarrold.co.uk/our-stores/jarrold-department-store/the-retreat .

Leighton Denny is a leading expert in nails and tanning and has just launched his lip dual expert make-up range. Leighton's colours are really well pigmented and are super vibrant. I love the simple bottle design and all the colours are gorgeous from the sophisticated subtle tans and nudes to the outrageous reds and corals. There is something to suit everyone.
Exclusive in Norwich to Jarrolds and at £11.00 a bottle they are every girls must have for a pamper night in.

They have a gorgeous Jo Malone bar where you can get relaxing hand and arm massages with all there beautiful products. What a great stop off point whilst you are shopping.
I am a huge Jo Malone fan having got an array of candles and bath oils dotted all over my bathroom ( I have to say you can't beat Pomegranate Noir ).
However I don't own any of their fragrances but I have a feeling a purchase is coming on . We were all given minis of their signature scents 'Lime Basil and Mandarin ' and 'Nutmeg and Ginger '. I have fallen in love with the Lime Basil and Mandarin , it's very fresh with a warm citrus undertone and I can't stop smelling it. One spray goes a long way and lasts all night so you don't need to keep topping up meaning that the product will last longer.
Jo Malone is currently unavailable to purchase on the Jarrolds website but just pop into store to indulge yourself in all their amazing smells.

Ok so I'm not going to deny it I am obsessed with the new Dior It - Lash trend. Its four gorgeous mascaras in wild crazy shades ; pink , cobalt blue , black and violet. The trend also has liquid liners to accompany the mascaras as well as eyeshadows and fluid sticks.
These colours seem mad and initially I was nervous to try them out but once they are on they look incredible. They are perfect for summer and the festival season or for just using to spice up a day to day look.
The products are at a really good price point with the mascaras being £22.00 which is less than there original mascaras. They are limited edition ( apart from black ) so be quick to get them before they run out.
I've got Violet and Black IT-LASH mascara and the Fluid Stick in Whisper Beige.

Thank you Jarrolds for having us and treating us to all the fashion and beauty tips and goodies. I had a fantastic evening.
