Crabbing in Cromer

Monday, 9 June 2014

This weekend we took a trip to Cromer in north Norfolk. It's a lovely seaside town with a large pier , amusements , ice-creams , lots of fish and chips, winding streets laden with boutiques and shops and of course a beautiful stretch of sandy beach. It's about a half an hour drive from Norwich.
We walked around the town and then bought some crabbing gear and relaxed with a few beers catching crabs off the pier. Then we walked back up into the town and stopped off at No.1's Fish & Chip shop . We ate looking out to sea and people watching before releasing our inner children in the amusements. Afterwards we strolled through the town and headed off home.

  8. SO SO glad I've found your blog! I'm always on the look out for Norfolk lifestyle blogs full of lovely pictures. I originate from Norfolk but moved away 7 years ago to move to London, I've since moved up to Newcastle which is about as far away from Norfolk as you can get so I don't get home too often :( Blogs like yours make me smile (and feel a little homesick!)

  9. You must be an absolute pro to reel in those bad boys off the pier! You should try crabbing on Blakeney quay as the tide is coming in, crabs galore, just be sure not to scrimp on the bacon!
