The Royal Norfolk Show

Monday, 30 June 2014

Shopping , Livestock and Hog roast sandwiches . It must be The Royal Norfolk Show! An agricultural show turned tourist attraction on the outside of Norwich held over 2 days once a year.
I love going round looking in all the livestock tents and barns full of pigs, cattle , chickens , rabbits and sheep.
There are loads of amazing eateries placed around the show ground to be enjoyed from ostrich burgers to strawberries and cream. As well as corporate businesses trading farming equipment , cars , hot tubs and many more all at show prices.
It's a great day out with some bargains to be had.

What I wore. . .
Coat - Barbour
Dress - Jack Wills
Boots - Hunter
Bag - Mulberry

St Ives Reminiscing

We've been back a week and I'm already reminiscing of the sea air , long walks and sunshine of the south.
I was going through my holiday photos and found these snaps from a trip round the town which made me miss it even more . So I thought I'd share them online to give you a feel for the towny side of St Ives apposed to the beach scene.
Enjoy!

The Last Dinner at Porthminster Cafe St Ives Cornwall

Tuesday, 24 June 2014

Our last day in St Ives we went for a gorgeous dinner at Porthminster Cafe located on the pitureque Portminster beach. The building is a beautiful white washed house with a huge terrace and large glass windows to admire the beach from.
The menu is quite small but everything is beautiful and delicious. It's featured in many Good Food guides and Mitchelen guides.
I had traditional fish and chips followed by a selection of petite fours. All of which were so good I could of eaten them over and over. We had lots of wine and fizz and enjoyed the view as the sun set. It was a lovely last evening.

A Twenty First Circus Party

Sunday, 22 June 2014

It was one of my good friends twenty first birthdays and she had an amazing circus themed party in her garden. There was a huge top tent with a country band a delicious lamb & hog roast as well as an endless supply of mojitos. It was a gorgeous evening and everyone went to town with their outfits ( even poodle Albert and terrier Thistle had clown collars on ).
I went as a fortune teller with a 60's edge inspired by Edie Sedgwick and Tom went as a bearded lady.
The garden was decorated beautifully with long ribbons, fairy lights , flowers and straw giving the party an authentic circus feel. It looked like a set for a Tim Walker photoshoot.
A fabulous circus night.
